When People Start Listening

Three days in, and it’s already clear this approach is resonating. The community is engaging — and that matters.

Just 72 hours after launching the flyer and website, we’re already seeing signs of impact. People are not only paying attention — they’re responding.

In the last 24 hours alone:

  • I received a direct and constructive reply from our local MP, engaging with the issues I raised on behalf of our community.

  • A personal letter arrived from the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, following my outreach about the proposed new police station in Corby.

  • Local business leaders have been in touch, keen to learn more and help shape how the council can better support enterprise in our area.

Each of these conversations has taken time and thought, and I want to thank those individuals for engaging constructively at this early stage. It’s a reminder that the platform we’ve built is already doing what it set out to do — giving residents a voice, raising local priorities, and connecting the community with those in positions to act.

I’ve also reached out to a number of important places across the town — from the train station and college, to our reservists, community centres, and faith communities. I hope to hear more meaningful conversations from them — and from you, my neighbours — in the weeks ahead.

The website is still taking shape, but interest is growing steadily — with visitors already well into the triple figures. Flyers are being delivered across the ward, but if you haven’t received one yet, you can download a copy from the bottom of the homepage.

To those who’ve shared a message, passed along a link, or simply taken the time to explore what this campaign stands for — thank you.

We’re building something thoughtful and grounded.

— Gary
